Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you guys voice teachers?

Not really. We’re audition coaches, so our focus is on helping you prepare for specific auditions. While we certainly address vocal technique issues when working with our musical theater-focused clients, the concentration of the session is really on ensuring your audition as a whole is shipshape and ready to go. This means we address a range of issues, including but not limited to acting, character work, physical tension, professionalism and material selection.

So we’re working with the audition as a whole. If you’re specifically looking for a singing teacher, we may not be the right service for you.

Q: Do you work with high school students?

Yes! We coach students of any age fifteen and up. College auditions are a big stressor for young people, and we love working with them to help find and develop material suited for their unique talents.

Q: How about non-professionals, auditioning for community theater?

Hey, if you’ve got the money, you’re entitled to the same time and attention as everyone else. We don’t discriminate between professional and non-professional actors :)

Q: Do you do Voiceover Audition Coaching?

Not yet! We’d love to expand into VO in the future, but at the moment none of our regular coaches consistently works in that field.

Q: Can I apply to be a coach?

Sure, send us a message through our contact form! We’re always evaluating how best to develop our team, so submissions are welcome.

Q: Can you explain what’s up with the contactless coaching option?

Totally. One of our founders had the idea after realizing that a lot of performers find the idea of working with a coach one-on-one intimidating, even over Zoom. The contactless coaching option was developed with accessibility for those students in mind. It’s also great for folks who just want a lower-cost option!
